High-Performance Marketing &
Sales Consulting in Phoenix.
Design That Good is a company — not a freelancer with a logo. Founded by the ultimate player-coach. Staffed by operators who get in the CRM, the ad account, the floor, and the P&L. We build AI agents that take the grunt work off the payroll so a smaller team can run a bigger machine.

Design That Good is the firm.
Robby Smith built it.
High-performance marketing and sales for owners who need a team that can still get its hands dirty. Strategy in the morning. Execution the same week.
Robby Smith
Player-coach. Doing it for two girls who will one day know what their dad was building.
Dear owner,
You already know how this goes. You have a product that works. People that work. A company that should be louder than it is.
And still someone — usually you — is staring at the dashboard at 10 p.m. wondering why the site is slow, why the ads feel expensive, why marketing is a pile of vendors instead of a system.
Most firms sell you a channel. Google. Meta. A redesign. A brand refresh. That is not the job. The job is to make your company easier to run and harder to compete with.
I founded Design That Good as a player-coach company on purpose. I came up on film sets watching my dad, Lane Smith, do the work until it was undeniable. Then I spent 15 years inside brands as the operator — rebuild the site, automate the ugly part, train the floor, spend the media like it matters, stay long enough to see it hit the P&L. The firm exists so that standard has a team behind it. Not so I can disappear into a title.
Below are four machines the company has been hired to fix. I still get in them. So does the team.
Design In Your Back Pocket
If we are out of your budget — do it for yourself. A cheat sheet to owning your brand again.
Download the bookFour machines. Four scoreboards.
Each machine is a stack: the number, the website, the artifact, then what broke and what we built. Click a site. It is live.
Raghouse. SKUDIFY turned a 30-minute box into a one-minute machine.
SKUDIFY video
How SKUDIFY works
From photo to sold in under 1 minute
The floor shoots. The machine publishes.
Photographer snaps photos + short video. Types name, count, weight, UPC.Two people used to own this booth. Now one person shoots and types four fields. That is the only human input.
Drops the file in the Google folder. The folder is the trigger. Nothing else to click. No Slack. No ticket.
Make.com fires instantly. Automatic magicMake watches the folder. New file lands. The scenario starts. Open the tool: make.com
AI finishes in seconds: crop + white background, color and light, last 5,000 sales for price, title and description.Airtable holds the last 5,000 orders. ChatGPT writes the listing. Price per pound comes from real sales, not a guess.
Uploads live to website · eBay · Etsy · anywhere else.Same listing, same minute. Website, eBay, Etsy. The remote team of four is gone.
Old way = 30 minutes per box by a remote team. New way = one minute, same every time.
Website
What was broken
Largest vintage wholesaler in the U.S. Eleven people on the output line. Two per booth — one shooting on white from above, one labeling the UPC. A product manager collecting from 150+ sorters. A remote team of four editing photos, cutting video, pricing, uploading. One box of 1980s Levis: named, counted, weighed, shot, dropped in a Google folder. Thirty minutes before it was live on the site, eBay, and Etsy. Supply was never the problem. Speed was the money.
What we built
SKUDIFY. Photographer types UPC, name, count, weight on the file and drops it. Make.com fires. Photos auto-crop to a clean white. ChatGPT reads the last 5,000 orders, prices per pound, writes title and description, publishes. Under one minute. First production-scale AI line in the building. CRM rebuilt across 60,000 clients. New site and backend to replace Zendesk. ShipStation cut about $10 a package. SOPs so the floor could run without a meeting. Customer base +10% in six months. Sales +15% after the brand overhaul.
Paid that supported it
Google and Meta aimed at eBay, Etsy, Depop, Poshmark, Whatnot resellers and brick vintage buyers — wholesale vintage tees, Y2K bulk, recycled bales — plus SEO category pages and automated drips.
“Robby took a complicated pipeline and replaced it with AI tools that actually work. Output on Vintage jumped almost immediately. Felt like we leveled up overnight.”— Tony Tiedemann, CEO, Raghouse and Tiedemann Globe
Cash Time + Presto. $2.5M after the platforms locked the ads.
Brand system
Websites — live frames
What was broken
Loans over 36% APR cannot buy Google or Facebook the normal way. Old site: 10-second loads, dead organic. Reviews were an 18-year pile. $750k of TV that had stopped paying. A $6M deficit. Underwriting too tight. Repos slow. Collections scattered across stores. Sister brand Presto had to run the same week, not a year later.
What we built
WordPress + Astra + Elementor Pro. Sub-3-second GTmetrix. A landing page and blog for every store and city. Same stack stood up on prestoloans.com. 150+ customer-facing people trained to ask for the review after a good experience — $300 Walmart card every month. 6,500 new Google reviews in two years. Local pack to #1–#3 on cash loans near me. Spanish search. Competitor conquest. Remarketing on abandoners.
Floor + expansion
EOS every Wednesday. Real SOPs per seat. Centralized collections. GPS on title loans over $5,000. In-house flyer press from POA instead of a $10k, 3-week wait. Billboards and signage across 28 locations. Ghost locations in Flagstaff, Sierra Vista, Yuma — coworking office, polished GBP, local CPAs as closers. Copa de Cash Time. Scripts, SPIFs, Tuesday 9:20 company calls scaling toward 200 people. Arizona plate as the brand feeling.
Social — AI corporate posting
First in-house AI pipeline for marketing assets and delivery. Corporate social for Cash Time and Presto ran on a schedule instead of a person hunting for posts: store photos, review wins, Copa de Cash Time, location news, Spanish creative. Same voice across 28 stores. No agency waiting on a Tuesday.
“Robby is a powerful force in bringing my vision to its maximum potential. A powerhouse behind the scenes and a key part of the company’s evolution and growth.”— Scott Allen, CEO, Cash Time
GNC shelves, athlete roster, live events — then one line.
Packing — the whole line
Spots — GNC, athletes, events
Website
Brick to DTC
Four-plus years as Brand Manager inside Vireo / Promera. Full relaunch. When GNC tightened, the firm built the direct machine: shopping ads, athlete and bodybuilding lookalikes, always-on retargeting, Amazon Marketing Services, ~$30K/month on Meta and Google. Ads ran in coordination with GNC — the aisle and the feed the same week. Shopify and Amazon carried the DTC line. Same operator later ran SweetLeaf the same way: packing, paid, retail windows.
Packing + production
Every tub, bottle, gummy jar, and label. Full CPG redesign. WordPress to Shopify. 3D renders. Commercials from concept to delivery. Promera Health spun as the adjacent line. One system, not four vendors.
Live events
Arnold Classic activations. World Championship CrossFit Games with two athlete influencers. A 3-day remote video blitz. Budget killed days out. New number overnight. Flights, crew, gear, 1,000 miles, cameras rolling the next morning. Real-time cuts to social for three packed days.
Social
Athlete storytelling and event cuts fed the feed the same week as GNC. CrossFit and Arnold content did not sit on a hard drive. It hit Instagram and Facebook while the athletes were still on the floor.
Where the line lives now
Promera Sports collapsed to one storefront. Powder, capsules, gummies. That handoff is con-cret.com. Click the website box.
“Discovering Robby was a turning point. Another dimension of design and marketing that had been missing. An endless reservoir of ideas — and ingenious methods of keeping costs down. Robby and DESIGN THAT GOOD are a winning team.”— Mark Faulkner, CEO, Vireo Systems (Promera, CON-CRET)
$75k weekend. $750k NASCAR. $480k cut from the budget.
Packing — lineup still on shelf
Brand still
Website
What we ran
Brand Manager, Gilbert. Team of four. Facebook, Instagram, and Google at ~$50K/month plus a $750K Instacart program inside a $2M multi-channel year — Instacart, Meta, Google, in-store. Prospected keto, sugar-free, stevia, and monk-fruit shoppers, Kroger and mass, race-weekend windows. The James Agency on PR.
The line
Wisdom Natural Brands. Family company that put the first green stevia packet on U.S. shelves in 1999. Sweet Drops, shakers, packets, monk fruit, Water Drops. Packing and labels redesigned across the lineup — still on shelf. Site rebuilt. Amazon rebuilt. Retail: Kroger, Sprouts, Publix, Albertsons, Walmart, Amazon.
NASCAR + retail
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and the No. 47 Camaro. $750k sponsorship. Nationwide ads, commercials, Kroger activations on race weekends. That car was media, not a logo on a wall.
Social
Always-on Meta plus the Instacart and Kroger windows. Same brand voice from packet to feed. Official handle still runs as @sweetleaf.
What moved
Record Stevia weekend: $75,000 online — highest weekend and month in company history. CRM 45,000 to 70,000+. Yearly marketing spend cut $480,000 while the number went up. Spend less. Sell more. Leave packing the floor can still run.
